Detection Automation Engineer, Bot & Fraud Detection

Responsibilities

• ▹Design real-time bot and fraud detection systems
• ▹Analyze how attackers operate and adapt
• ▹Build detection systems that remain simple, observable, and resistant to gaming
• ▹Ensure systems withstand browser updates, new automation frameworks, and traffic growth without blocking legitimate users

Requirements

• ▹Experience working on real-world bot or fraud detection engines at scale
• ▹Experience blocking traffic at high volume
• ▹Experience dealing with false positives affecting real users
• ▹Understanding of latency constraints and business tradeoffs
• ▹Judgment on when ML improves outcomes versus when a deterministic or statistical approach is cleaner
• ▹Adversarial thinking and systems design mindset
