🚀Getting started

What is Dev Radar?
An IT job search where pay is the focus. We collect Hungarian and international developer and tech roles in one place, straight from companies' own applicant systems. Listings show the salary band the employer actually published — and we also show how many companies don't publish one. Browse the list, the map, companies or the salary data.
Why register? Does it work without an account?
Search, filters, the map, salary bands and company data are completely free without an account. Register if you want more:
  • Jobs that fit you — scored against your profile (tech, level, language, remote preference, salary).
  • Job alerts by email when a matching role appears.
  • Saved jobs and comparison.
  • A weekly market report on your tech and the salary median for your level.
  • A public developer profile if you want to be found.
Registration is free for developers and can be deleted anytime.
How do I apply for a job?
Two ways, depending on where the listing came from. For roles posted directly with us, you apply on the platform and the employer sees it in their dashboard. For roles from companies' own systems, the apply button takes you to their original page and we hold no data about your application. Every listing states which case it is and where the data came from.
Is it free? How is the site funded?
Everything is free for job seekers — no paid tier, no hidden content, no "register to see the salary" gate. Revenue comes from the employer side: job postings and promotion (pricing).

🧑‍💻Developer profile

Can my current employer see my profile?
Only if you choose so. Developer profiles are not public by default: one toggle in the profile editor makes it visible, a separate toggle allows search engines to index it. The two are independent and reversible at any time.
Do I have to fill everything in by hand?
No. You can build your profile from GitHub data: we read the technologies from your public repos and propose a draft you can edit. To just see what it would produce, /build-profile shows a preview without signing in, together with matching jobs. You can also upload a CV.
What does the match percentage mean?
A 0–100 score for how well a listing fits you, made of five parts: tech overlap (60 points), language (20), seniority (10), remote preference (10) and salary (10). Anything you leave empty scores neutrally — it never penalises you. The more you fill in, the better the ordering on Jobs that fit you.
Can employers contact me?
Only if your profile is visible and you consented. Incoming messages are managed in Messages, can be switched off anytime, and abuse can be reported. Applicant data and CVs are never exposed through MCP or the API.

📊Data and salaries

Where do the listings come from?
Mostly straight from companies' own applicant tracking systems (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, SmartRecruiters and similar official endpoints), plus sources whose terms explicitly permit it. We name the source on every listing. Where terms forbid reuse we do not take the data — several large sites are missing for exactly this reason, and that is deliberate.
Where do salary figures come from? Are they estimates?
Neither estimates nor surveys. We only use the salary bands actually published in listings — the employer's own dated, verifiable statement. Every statistic shows its sample size (n). Currencies are converted at the European Central Bank's daily rate and yearly/hourly figures normalised to monthly — but we never guess the period: if a listing is ambiguous, it is left out of the statistics.
I found incorrect data. What should I do?
Report it via Support, ideally with the listing link. We don't argue with bug reports — we check and fix. Usually it isn't one listing that's wrong but a whole source or rule, so your report is the fastest way to find the pattern.
Why do you show which companies don't post salaries?
Because it is the most important missing piece in a job search, and because it is measurable. The transparency page shows, per company, what share of their listings include a salary band. It is not a rating or an accusation — just a raw ratio with its sample size.

🏢For employers

How do I post a job?
Register as an employer and fill in the form at Post a job. It goes live after moderation. A salary band is mandatory for job listings — both ends. That is a rule here, not a recommendation: pay is the point of this site, and a listing without a band would defeat it. For projects it is optional, since the budget genuinely depends on the brief.
Can I post a project too?
Yes, and posting a project is free — only promotion costs. Use /post-project.
How long does my listing run?
For the term of the package you chose: Basic, Featured and the Facebook package run 30 days, Top runs 60 days. We email you 7 days before expiry. After the term the listing expires automatically and leaves the list — it does not auto-renew and you are not charged again. You can also pause it from My listings.
Where do I see applicants?
In Applicants — with status, notes and a fast review mode. This covers listings posted with us only. Per listing you also get bot-filtered view counts and where your ad stands among comparable roles.

💳Payment and invoicing

How do I cancel my subscription?
There is nothing to cancel — we don't run subscriptions. Every package is a one-off purchase for a fixed term (30 or 60 days). At the end the listing expires by itself: no renewal, no second charge, no notice period. If you don't want to continue, simply don't buy again. We store no card details — payment happens on Stripe.
Do I get an invoice? Does it include VAT?
Yes, we issue an invoice for every purchase. Billing details go in /account/billing — we auto-fill company name and address from a Hungarian or EU VAT ID. The operator, Digital Dynamics Kft., is currently under the small-business VAT exemption, so the invoice carries no VAT.
Can I get a refund? Is there a right of withdrawal?
Listing packages are business services bought by a company — the 14-day consumer right of withdrawal generally does not apply. That said: if something doesn't work as promised, we'll sort it out. If a technical fault kept your listing offline, or you didn't get what you paid for, write to Support. Full terms are in the Terms.
How can I pay?
By card on the Stripe checkout page. Card details never reach us and are not stored. Prices in HUF and EUR are on /pricing.

🔒Account, privacy, legal

How do I delete my account?
Start at /account/delete. For security we ask for email confirmation; the link finalises it. Your account and personal data (profile, saved jobs, alert settings, messages) are then deleted. What remains: invoicing data we are legally required to retain, and any job listings you posted as an employer, which belong to the listing rather than to you. Deletion cannot be undone.
What data do you hold about me, and can I request it?
What you provide (email, profile data, a CV if you uploaded one) and what use generates (logins, saved jobs, alert settings). Traffic is measured anonymously — we don't store raw IPs, only a non-reversible hash, and bots are filtered out. The full list is in the Privacy policy. For a copy of your data or a correction, write to Support — we answer GDPR requests within 30 days.
I forgot my password / I can't sign in
You don't need a password: request a login link by email on the sign-in page. It is single-use and short-lived. If it doesn't arrive, check spam and confirm you used the address you registered with. If you enabled two-factor authentication and lost your device, use one of the backup codes you saved during setup — they work even when the authenticator app is gone.
Your emails don't arrive
Check spam/promotions first and add the sender to your contacts. If the confirmation email never came, you can resend it from your account. Individual email types (alerts, weekly report, profile views) are toggled in Email settings — one of them may be off. If nothing helps, write to Support from a different address.
I want content about me or my company removed
File a request at /takedown. The form requires email confirmation so nobody can misuse it in your name. We never delete automatically: a human reviews every request and we report the decision back to you. If a company has already pulled a listing from its own system, it expires here anyway at the next daily re-check.
Who operates the site, and where do I complain?
Operator: Digital Dynamics Kft., registered seat: 2724 Újlengyel, Nyári Pál utca 15., Hungary, tax number 32509072-1-13. "Dev Radar" is the brand name. Please raise complaints with Support first — most are settled in one email. If that fails, you can turn to the Hungarian Data Protection Authority (NAIH) for privacy matters, or your local consumer arbitration board for consumer matters. Details are in the Terms and the Privacy policy.
What cookies do you use?
Only what's needed: the login session, language and theme settings, and an anonymous visitor id for statistics. No advertising or profiling cookies, and no data is passed to ad networks. Fonts and third-party libraries are served from our own server so that visiting doesn't leak data to third parties. Details in the Cookie notice.
