Scrum Master (Information Technology/Software/Remote)

An international ICT company is looking for a fully remote Scrum Master within the EU on a B2B contract, working closely with a client's IT team.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and facilitate agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, backlog refinement)
  • Keep meetings positive, productive and within the timebox
  • Collaborate closely with the product owner to manage the backlog
  • Coach the team and Product Owner on empiricism and value-based backlog slicing
  • Track flow metrics and guide the team in data-driven improvement
  • Champion adoption of agile standards, tools and best practices
  • Proactively identify and resolve impediments
  • Promote empowered, self-organising teams and psychological safety
  • Uphold Definition of Done and quality gates
  • Communicate with other Scrum Masters and product owners across the organization

Requirements

  • University degree and at least 8 years of IT professional experience
  • Minimum 3 years dedicated experience as a Scrum Master at SM2 level or above
  • Led at least 2 production teams through full sprint cycles
  • Implemented data-driven continuous improvement initiatives
  • Experience coordinating cross-team work (Scrum-of-Scrums, PI Planning)
  • Deep knowledge of the Scrum Guide and Agile Manifesto
  • Knowledge of facilitation techniques (Fist of Five, Liberating Structures)
  • Knowledge of systems-thinking and process tailoring
  • Knowledge of team motivation and stakeholder engagement techniques
  • Knowledge of Agile metrics and ability to build and interpret dashboards
  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps (preferred) or Jira
  • PSM II (or higher) and SAFe 5/6 Agilist certifications
  • Excellent command of English

Nice to have

  • Experience with scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, Nexus, LeSS)
  • Knowledge of integrating SAFe and Kanban approaches
