Engineering Manager, Core Platform

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead and grow high-performing platform engineering teams
• ▹Set technical direction for multi-quarter platform initiatives across reliability, security, scalability and DX
• ▹Partner with product engineering, security and leadership to translate needs into roadmap priorities
• ▹Design internal platforms and abstractions that let product teams ship independently and securely
• ▹Guide cloud and data infrastructure evolution: AWS (ECS, Fargate), MongoDB optimization, event-driven architecture
• ▹Establish strong engineering culture and operational standards

Requirements

• ▹5+ years managing platform or infrastructure teams at high-growth tech companies
• ▹Experience managing multiple teams or charters
• ▹Strong decision-making balancing ambiguity, data, speed and quality
• ▹Track record scaling shared infrastructure in measurable ways
• ▹Experience driving engineering-wide initiatives (hiring, career frameworks)
• ▹Experience managing complex, long-term, cross-functional projects
• ▹Effective communicator able to influence without direct authority
• ▹Open to using AI responsibly to amplify skills and impact
