Runway ML builds AI that simulates the world by merging art and science. They're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead their API/platform team, driving strategy and architecture for their TypeScript-based API infrastructure while managing a team of 4-6 platform engineers.
Responsibilities
- ▹Drive platform strategy and architecture for the TypeScript API
- ▹Own the public API domain end-to-end
- ▹Manage data and analytics infrastructure
- ▹Lead and grow a team of 4-6 platform engineers
- ▹Partner with Product Engineering teams
- ▹Own critical data pipelines and metrics (finance, support, product)
- ▹Align platform investments with business goals with leadership
Requirements
- ▹2+ years of experience as an engineering manager or team lead
- ▹Track record of building and scaling high-performing engineering teams
- ▹Experience at the intersection of product development, APIs, and distributed systems
