(Power) Electronic/Electrical Design Engineer – Drive/Traction Inverter

Responsibilities

• ▹Own traction inverter hardware (PCBA and/or power stage) end-to-end from spec to design, simulation, validation and manufacturing support
• ▹Characterize and model power semiconductors and traction inverter performance (static, dynamic, thermal)
• ▹Develop and test integrated analog/digital circuit and power converter technologies
• ▹Collaborate with modeling, mechanical, manufacturing, test and firmware teams

Requirements

• ▹B.Sc./M.Sc./Ph.D. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with relevant hands-on experience
• ▹Hands-on experience analyzing and testing high-voltage power semiconductors
• ▹PCBA design and testing experience, embedded programming
• ▹Strong command of lab equipment and circuit simulation tools
• ▹Understanding of design trade-offs for passive electronic components

Nice to have

• ▹Understanding of power converter layout for commutation, EMC and thermal performance
• ▹Understanding of traction inverter operation and electric motor design trade-offs
• ▹Experience with high-volume automotive circuit/power converter design
• ▹Working knowledge of Matlab and/or Python
• ▹Knowledge of automotive environmental, reliability and safety requirements
