Software Developer (Embedded Test Automation)

Sprecher Automation is hiring for the development of software solutions used to automatically test electronic components and systems. The role centers on hardware-related software development, mainly in Java and C/C++, creating test concepts and test environments, and systematically analyzing and fixing hardware and software faults.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and implement software solutions for automated testing of electronic components and systems
  • Develop hardware-related software solutions, mainly in Java and C/C++
  • Create test concepts, test configurations and test environments using common test frameworks
  • Systematically analyze, troubleshoot and fix hardware and software faults in complex electronic circuits
  • Coordinate closely with electronics development, the test team and other development areas
  • Introduce build automation and further develop modern development and test processes

Requirements

  • Completed technical education, ideally HTL, university of applied sciences or university in electronics, information technology, computer science or a related field
  • Several years of relevant experience in test automation, hardware-related software development or electronics development
  • Solid programming skills in Java and C/C++
  • Very good Git skills, basic Linux knowledge, and experience with build and DevOps tools (Maven, GitLab CI/CD, Ansible)
  • Basic understanding of electrical engineering, experience reading circuit diagrams, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Communication skills, willingness to collaborate

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of C#, Python or Rust
