As a Platform Engineer on Faculty's Life Sciences team, you'll build the backbone of applied AI: robust, secure, scalable cloud infrastructure powering data science and ML workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Build robust, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure for AI and ML workflows
  • Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders from idea generation through to implementation
  • Enable ML Engineers and Data Scientists via internal best practices, standards, and reusable code repos
  • Proactively identify and recommend new ways customers can leverage cloud infrastructure
  • Create and maintain reusable, company-wide libraries and infrastructure-as-code
  • Research and integrate the best open-source technologies

Requirements

  • Pragmatic and outcome-focused, balancing the big picture with the details
  • Scientific thinking: testing assumptions, seeking evidence, improving how things are done
  • A drive to learn, constantly exploring new technologies and applications
  • Deep experience with both Azure and AWS as well as Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform
  • Experience building and deploying containerized solutions with Docker and Kubernetes, backed by strong CI/CD and GitOps practices
  • Proficient knowledge of networking and cloud security
  • Strong direct client and stakeholder work: requirements gathering, technical planning, and scoping
