Responsibilities

• ▹Engage with customer executives in the Enterprise Industry team covering manufacturing, retail, travel and service companies
• ▹Identify pain points and opportunities and translate them into ServiceNow solutions
• ▹Work in a fast-moving, dynamic sales environment with customers, colleagues and partners
• ▹Lead architecture and design engagements for strategic customers (customer experience, AI governance, IT transformation, digital products and services, platform as a service, enterprise service management, co-creation of industry-specific solutions)
• ▹Understand the customer's business and digital strategy and articulate how ServiceNow fits into their current and future technology landscape
• ▹Understand the detail behind ServiceNow and the platform-of-platforms architecture and communicate it at various levels
• ▹Work with architecture development methods, modelling approaches and integration architecture patterns
• ▹Influence and maintain relationships at multiple levels within a customer account (enterprise and domain architects, directors, VPs, CXOs)
• ▹Provide thought leadership and collaborate with internal ServiceNow business units
• ▹Identify, lead and contribute to the creation of best practices, white papers and workshops

Requirements

• ▹8+ years of deep experience in Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, Retail or Service industries in a strategic, consultative architecture presales role
• ▹10 or more years of proven success influencing senior technology leaders to drive change in a pre-sales, customer or delivery-focused role
• ▹Experience leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making or problem-solving
• ▹Familiarity with the ServiceNow platform and related software products and their capability to meet functional requirements
• ▹Familiarity with enterprise systems architecture (ERP, MES, WMS, POS, digital commerce platforms)
• ▹Knowledge of major ERP and enterprise software vendors in manufacturing and retail (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Shopify, etc.)
• ▹Knowledge and experience of manufacturing and retail frameworks such as APICS, SCOR, BIAN and industry-specific standards
• ▹Deep understanding of trends such as supply chain digitalization, inventory optimization, omnichannel retail, lean manufacturing, Industry 4.0, predictive analytics and demand-driven planning
• ▹Passion for building business relationships and simplifying complex concepts into compelling customer proposals
• ▹Drive for results, out-of-the-box innovative thinking and excellent problem-solving skills
• ▹Ability to understand and prioritize work, and willingness to make big bets when the time is right
• ▹Willingness to roll up their sleeves alongside customers, colleagues and partners
• ▹Track record of using Human Centered Design techniques to explore the customer's current reality and set a vision for the future
• ▹Expertise designing, implementing and managing advanced architectures in an application domain and integrating multiple systems or platforms
• ▹Experience with Enterprise Architecture or Application Architecture pre-sales in a software vendor or professional services environment
• ▹Familiarity with common enterprise and industry architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, IT4IT, BIAN, TMForum
• ▹Understanding of the business and financial model of manufacturing and retail organizations, supply chain economics and retail business models
• ▹Understanding of regulations in manufacturing and retail (data privacy, environmental compliance, import/export)
• ▹Practical experience with vendors in the manufacturing and retail software space, and with ISVs and software vendors relevant to the industry and customer
• ▹Excellent understanding of architectural principles for cloud-based platforms, including SaaS, PaaS, multi-tenancy and automation
• ▹Experience and understanding of multiple technical domains: application, data, DevOps, AI/ML, integration, big data, mobility, analytics
• ▹Intrinsic curiosity and passion for researching emerging technologies and developing innovative solutions
• ▹Experience presenting architecture concepts, designs and goals to technology leaders and partners
