Staff Incident Manager

The Staff Incident Manager owns the major incident lifecycle end to end, coordinating response, bringing the right people together, and ensuring the team learns from every incident across Yuno's global payment infrastructure.

Stack

Responsibilities

  • Incident command: act as incident commander on major and critical incidents from detection to resolution
  • Reliability metrics: drive down MTTR and detection/response times, own the operational discipline behind the 99.99% uptime target
  • On-call program: run rotations, escalation policies and alert quality
  • Incident communications: align internal stakeholders and drive accurate merchant-facing updates including the status page
  • Run blameless postmortems, ensure concrete, owned action items
  • Reliability roadmap: turn recurring incident patterns into reliability work
  • Define and maintain incident severity levels, runbooks and the operating model
  • Report on incident trends and SLA/SLO performance to leadership

Requirements

  • Proven experience running major incident response in a production environment real customers depend on, ideally as incident commander
  • Strong working knowledge of modern distributed systems and cloud-native operations
  • Comfortable holding your own on a bridge call with senior engineers during an outage
