Responsibilities

• ▹Provide full oversight of the testing lifecycle across multiple teams and projects, defining and enforcing QA processes and standardizing tools, environments, and test coverage organization-wide
• ▹Establish and continuously refine QA processes, procedures, and standards for testing products before they go to market
• ▹Ensure scalable test infrastructure and extend testing capability into performance, security, and compliance testing
• ▹Identify systemic quality gaps and cross-team risks, run trend analysis on quality metrics, and anticipate issues that could affect release stability or timelines
• ▹Evaluate and resolve organizational blockers in QA workflows, balancing trade-offs between delivery timelines and stakeholder satisfaction
• ▹Deliver executive-level QA insights (reports, dashboards, strategic recommendations) to the Head of QA and cross-functional leadership
• ▹Manage and mentor QA Leads and senior individual contributors, fostering career growth, succession planning, and technical leadership
• ▹Distribute workload, set goals for QA Leads and their teams, and conduct performance reviews
• ▹Drive continuous performance evaluation and improvement of QA teams: resolve conflicts, support morale, and build a culture of ownership, accountability, and excellence
• ▹Advocate for Agile testing and quality across the business, building quality awareness at every stage of the product lifecycle
• ▹Oversee QA engineers and Leads testing the products and implementing automation across cross-functional teams
• ▹Partner closely with engineering, product, and business analysts to shape requirements and comprehensive testing strategies
• ▹Participate in reviews of software requirements, design documents, and system architecture so testing requirements are addressed early
• ▹Manage and triage reported defects and keep visibility over how features delivered by other teams interact across subsystems
• ▹Continuously improve and refactor the testing infrastructure and automated/regression frameworks for reliability and scalability

Requirements

• ▹Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• ▹8+ years of experience in software QA spanning manual and automated testing of web and API applications, including at least 2+ years directly managing QA Leads, senior engineers, or a multi-team QA function
• ▹Proven track record establishing QA processes, tooling, and standards organization-wide, not just within a single team
• ▹Experience with executive-level reporting: turning quality metrics into insights and recommendations for senior leadership
• ▹Deep understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes across the full testing lifecycle
• ▹Experience implementing and scaling automated testing frameworks in an agile environment, with deep understanding of BDD and Gherkin
• ▹Hands-on familiarity with testing tools for JavaScript and .NET such as Jest, Mocha, JMeter, Cypress, Selenium, Puppeteer, NUnit, Cucumber, Telerik, Specflow, or similar, and how to integrate them with CI
• ▹Proficiency with defect tracking and test management tooling, with strong experience setting up QA processes and running structured performance reviews
• ▹Working knowledge of performance, security, and compliance testing domains
• ▹Practical experience building and rolling out AI-powered processes across teams or workflows

Nice to have

• ▹Experience in insurance or a similarly regulated, complex industry (a strong plus)
