Senior Python Engineer, Wallet

Responsibilities

• ▹Take full ownership of backend features and improvements, from design through production support
• ▹Design, develop and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services using Python and Django, including asynchronous components
• ▹Write unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability
• ▹Estimate software development effort for features and long-term technical initiatives
• ▹Collaborate with product, QA and engineering teams to turn requirements into technical solutions
• ▹Participate in code reviews, help raise engineering quality, contribute to technical decisions

Requirements

• ▹At least 5+ years of development experience, primarily with Python
• ▹Strong experience building production backend systems with Django and asynchronous Python (asyncio)
• ▹Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures and concurrency
• ▹Experience in architecture design of highly loaded and scalable solutions
• ▹Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL): complex SQL queries, schema design, migrations, performance tuning
• ▹Experience with Redis for caching and state management in distributed systems
• ▹Strong understanding of the development cycle from requirements analysis to monitoring
• ▹Willingness to participate in on-call rotations

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with Go
• ▹Production experience with Apache Kafka
• ▹Prior experience working with systems supporting 1M+ users
• ▹Experience writing automated tests, measuring test coverage and defining test automation strategies
• ▹Experience in sports/betting industries
