Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents
• ▹Create detailed, well-structured test plans and test cases
• ▹Estimate, prioritize and coordinate testing activities
• ▹Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• ▹Identify, document and track bugs
• ▹Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved
• ▹Develop testing processes for new and existing product features
• ▹Liaise with developers and the product manager on system requirements
• ▹Track quality assurance metrics such as defect density and open defect counts

Requirements

• ▹Experience in software development
• ▹Experience in software quality assurance
• ▹Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools and processes
• ▹Experience writing clear, concise test plans and test cases
• ▹Hands-on white box and black box testing experience
• ▹Experience with automated testing tools
• ▹Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
• ▹Experience working in an Agile/Scrum process
• ▹BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with performance and/or security testing
