A contract PHP website developer role on an AI-native team (Claude Code coding agents are the daily driver) that owns features end-to-end from request to stable production.

Responsibilities

▹Ship full-stack features with measurable product impact
▹Provide substantive code review and architectural feedback, not just approvals
▹Serve as first responder for production issues during working hours: triage, root cause, preventive measures
▹Improve the team's engineering practice over time: tooling, agentic workflows, technical standards, documentation
▹Translate product requirements into a technical approach and communicate the reasoning
▹Refine and break bodies of work into small, iterative deliverables, help guide sprint goals

Requirements

▹7+ years of experience in website development using PHP and MySQL
▹Built complex web applications that call various services and APIs
▹Advanced knowledge of custom WordPress development, including data modeling and infrastructure
▹Advanced use of semantic HTML, responsive CSS, and modern design patterns
▹Professional-level English communication skills
▹Advanced understanding of modern web app architecture and web fundamentals
▹Intermediate to advanced understanding of developer tooling and unit test writing
▹Experience incorporating and working with REST APIs
▹Intermediate to advanced understanding of relational databases

Nice to have

▹Experience with Laravel
▹Experience with AWS
