Senior backend role at Kalepa, which builds AI systems for insurers, on the Client Integrations team. You work on the external-facing APIs that power customers' core workflows, remotely from Europe.

Responsibilities

▹Design and build API endpoints
▹Improve database and query performance
▹Integrate with a wide range of third-party services
▹Translate product requirements into reliable business logic
▹Diagnose and resolve customer issues
▹Make the platform faster, more stable and easier to use
▹Collaborate with a global team of full-stack, data, ML and DevOps engineers

Requirements

▹5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally building external-facing APIs or designing integrations with third-party systems
▹Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging and problem-solving
▹Knowledge of Python (the main stack), though strong candidates from other OO backgrounds are welcome
▹Experience with serverless technologies (Lambda, EC2), asynchronous workflows and cloud environments
▹Comfortable with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL

Nice to have

▹Experience with LLMs and generative AI
▹Experience with distributed systems
