Responsibilities

• ▹Be accountable for the design and development of an internal product
• ▹Lead a team of software engineers
• ▹Develop the skills and capabilities of direct reports
• ▹Seek improvements to established processes, designs and solutions
• ▹Build an understanding of business needs to deliver the most impact
• ▹Billing team: develop and operate a Golang service that turns metrics into billable amounts and lets customers see their current spend at any time
• ▹Business Systems team: work on systems such as NetSuite and Salesforce, work closely with operations teams, implement business processes and keep the systems compliant
• ▹Data Governance team: enable secure, well-governed access to data sets from many internal and external sources in a data mesh, using open-source tools such as Trino and Ranger
• ▹Livepatch team: develop Golang-based client and backend components for a service that patches the Linux kernel while the system runs

Requirements

• ▹Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
• ▹Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling narrative about your alternative chosen path
• ▹Track record of going above and beyond expectations to achieve outstanding results
• ▹Experience with software development in a high-level language (Golang, Python, Java, ...)
• ▹Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills
• ▹Result-oriented, with a personal drive to meet commitments
• ▹Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events of up to two weeks

Nice to have

• ▹Performance engineering and SRE experience
• ▹Experience with data governance, data engineering or data science
• ▹Experience with accounting, sales, sales operations or other business roles
