eCommerce Technical Lead (Remote, Eastern Europe)

Responsibilities

• ▹Identify what in the codebase is sound and what is not, through direct, hands-on engagement
• ▹Refactor what is holding the platform back and establish the patterns that subsequent work will follow
• ▹Trace issues end-to-end across commerce, ERP, payments, content and search integrations and implement the fix
• ▹Investigate failed deployments in the logs
• ▹Run the profiler and identify the actual cause when performance degrades
• ▹Provide substantive engineering review of contributions from internal developers and external agencies - identifying defects, missed edge cases and shortcuts that create cost later, and giving specific, actionable feedback
• ▹Work closely with the CIO and the eCommerce Director on day-to-day execution
