Lead Customer Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Act as the technological point of contact for the business throughout the ITO phase; provide technical expertise and develop technical solutions (configuration, performance estimation, economics) during the pre-ITO process while interacting with the sales team
• ▹Deliver high technical quality proposals, including processes and programs that make proposals more accepted (compliant or clarified), efficient, and cost-competitive for the customer, with reduced overall performance risk
• ▹Be responsible for the accuracy of technical proposals, including technical specifications and clarifications, assumptions/exceptions, quantification of design and deliverables, definition of installation work scope, cost allocation, bill of materials, and estimation of engineering, installation, and testing/commissioning based on customer specifications and/or industry standards (IEEE, NESC, ANSI, NEMA, IEC, etc.)
• ▹Carry out the baseline studies needed to verify the proper specification and design of proposed solutions
• ▹Provide technical support to create subcontractor packages and bid files for electrical equipment
• ▹Support the sales team in customer presentations of technical capabilities and proposals
• ▹Promote programs that make the electrical engineering team more efficient and profitable
• ▹Develop new engineering concepts and products based on feedback from market exposure
• ▹Design and implement methodologies, models, and libraries that provide the most accurate cost estimates with the least engineering effort for a given customer field
