⚙️ Senior/Staff Platform Engineer

As an early engineer you'll play a key role in shaping the architectural decisions that let Runway scale to meet the needs of its growing customer base.

Responsibilities

  • ▹Build product and infrastructure: shape architectural decisions for scale, working closely with design and PM to plan and implement the core product
  • ▹Build a technical foundation that is flexible and adapts to a wide variety of product needs
  • ▹Grow the team by attracting, closing, and developing talented teammates
  • ▹Build a formula evaluation and query engine that lets customers scale beyond any spreadsheet
  • ▹Support an integrations platform with hundreds of connections querying millions of rows of data
  • ▹Scale infrastructure to support Runway's future growth

Requirements

  • ▹5+ years of professional backend engineering experience (staff-level experience is a plus)
  • ▹A track record of building robust, scalable systems
  • ▹An ownership mindset: understanding customer problems and finding the best path forward independently
  • ▹Pride in your craft and a drive to keep improving it
  • ▹An inclusive, collaborative approach to teamwork

Nice to have

  • ▹Experience leading a team on a large web application
  • ▹Expertise in Go
  • ▹Experience or interest in DevOps and infrastructure
  • ▹Experience with Kubernetes or Google Cloud Platform

What we offer

  • ▹Base salary range of $190,000-$230,000 + generous early-employee equity + benefits
