CBS Domain Architect – Core Banking System Replacement

Responsibilities

• ▹Understanding and applying the operation of the affected banking domains (e.g. Account, Loan, Deposit, Overdraft, Payment, Data Management) in architecture design
• ▹Taking into account cross-cutting and supporting domains (e.g. Client, Channel, Global Markets, Collection, Collateral)
• ▹Mapping business processes, operational logic and banking regulatory requirements into the architecture
• ▹Clearly defining domain boundaries, responsibilities and integration touchpoints
• ▹Applying a capability-based architecture design approach
• ▹Aligning the business, application, data and technology architecture layers
• ▹Performing Enterprise Architecture tasks down to application- and data-connectivity-level design
• ▹Continuously maintaining and updating the capability model of the affected domains
• ▹Collaborating with the relevant IT areas (development, integration, data, operations) and business areas
• ▹Ensuring adherence to enterprise architecture principles and standards
• ▹Supporting architecture-level discussions, decision preparation and professional position papers

Requirements

• ▹Several years of experience in a banking domain (e.g. retail or corporate core banking, lending, account management, payments) in an architect or systems organizer role
• ▹Knowledge and practical application of Enterprise Architecture and capability-based architecture (e.g. BIAN, TOGAF, ArchiMate)
• ▹Knowledge of integration architectures and modern banking system environments (API-based and event-driven integrations, data flows, master data, reporting)
• ▹Confident understanding of data and application architecture concepts
• ▹Strong systems thinking, ability to grasp complex banking processes and interdependencies
• ▹Excellent communication and negotiation skills, effective stakeholder management
• ▹Structured, meticulous and well-documented way of working
• ▹Ability to mediate between technical and business stakeholders
• ▹Independent, proactive way of working
