Engineering Team Lead (C++) – Threat Protection Team

Responsibilities

• ▹Drive one of a team delivering Threat Protection functionality for the NordVPN application
• ▹Own the output of a development team
• ▹Plan and follow the team's technical and delivery goals
• ▹Track roadblocks that slow down delivery and facilitate their resolution
• ▹Stay aware of the latest security practices and ensure they are followed
• ▹Empower developers to collaborate and resolve blockers
• ▹Prepare personal and career development plans for team members
• ▹Solve problems and technical debates together with the team

Requirements

• ▹Experience leading engineering teams (preferably with C/C++)
• ▹Understanding of a product's business goals and vision
• ▹Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Design (OOD) mindset
• ▹Some network stack knowledge and low-level programming experience
• ▹Sufficient expertise to make technical decisions, contribute to the codebase and perform quality code reviews

Nice to have

• ▹Windows API and Kernel experience is a big plus
• ▹Apple/Mac/Linux expertise is a plus
