Responsibilities

• ▹Lead a development team delivering Threat Protection functionality for the NordVPN application and increase customers' digital security
• ▹Own the output of a development team
• ▹Plan and follow the team's technical and delivery goals
• ▹Keep the team focused, track roadblocks that slow delivery and facilitate their resolution
• ▹Stay continuously aware of the latest security practices and developments and ensure they are followed
• ▹Empower developers to collaborate and resolve blockers
• ▹Guide the development of team members with personal and career development plans
• ▹Solve problems and technical debates together with team members

Requirements

• ▹Experience leading engineering teams (preferably with C/C++)
• ▹Understanding of a product's business goals and vision and how your team contributes to it
• ▹Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Object-Oriented Design (OOD) mindset
• ▹Some network stack knowledge and low-level programming experience
• ▹Sufficient expertise to make technical decisions, contribute to the codebase and perform quality code reviews
• ▹A high sense of responsibility and ownership for the quality of your work
• ▹Open, transparent communication style
• ▹Positive attitude towards feedback, new ideas and self-improvement

Nice to have

• ▹Windows API and kernel experience
• ▹Apple/Mac/Linux expertise
