Responsibilities

• ▹Own the technical direction for your team's domain, driving architecture decisions
• ▹Build, coach, and grow a team of engineers — hiring, running performance cycles, building culture
• ▹Partner with product management, design, and data science to define roadmaps
• ▹Navigate the full development lifecycle from ideation through launch
• ▹Champion engineering craft — code quality, robust testing, balancing iteration with maintainability
• ▹Contribute to Suno's mission by delivering the tools and platform that turn imagination into music

Requirements

• ▹5–7 years managing a software engineering team, with a track record shipping impactful consumer products
• ▹Strong technical foundation — can review code, guide architecture, jump into the codebase
• ▹Experience translating ambiguous problems into clear plans and shipped features
• ▹A demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and retain strong engineers
• ▹Hands-on experience building and operating systems at scale in production
• ▹Comfort thriving in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
• ▹Forward-looking perspective on integrating AI and agentic coding into engineering workflows
• ▹A love of music

Nice to have

• ▹Experience at a consumer tech or creator-platform company
• ▹Time at both larger organizations and smaller, high-growth startups
• ▹Familiarity with AI/ML-powered product development
• ▹Working knowledge of Python, TypeScript, consumer media systems, or real-time systems
