Headway is looking for an engineering leader for its Growth org, owning the systems that help mental health providers discover, evaluate, and join the platform.
Responsibilities
- ▹Lead and manage an engineering team focused on growth
- ▹Partner closely with Product, Design, Marketing, and Data to enable rapid experimentation and A/B testing
- ▹Collaborate with activation and onboarding teams to ensure a seamless end-to-end user experience
- ▹Drive alignment across the team on process, prioritization, and product outcomes
- ▹Develop the team through weekly 1-1s, mentorship, and feedback
- ▹Help develop aspiring engineering leaders within the team
- ▹Contribute to the broader company strategy and product roadmap
- ▹Help grow the engineering team from 120 to 175+ headcount through the remainder of the year
- ▹Shape how the team adopts and uses AI tools responsibly
- ▹Remain an active technical contributor through pairing and key design decisions
Requirements
- ▹3+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager at a high-growth startup or scale-up
- ▹5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
- ▹Strong product mindset with a track record of building cross-functional relationships that drive great user experiences
- ▹Strong technical foundation to ensure the team makes appropriate technical decisions
- ▹Flexibility and adaptability to navigate dynamic growth roadmaps
- ▹BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field
Nice to have
- ▹Prior experience with SEO and paid advertising
- ▹Prior experience with Python, React, and AWS infrastructure
- ▹Experience in health tech, building user-facing products
- ▹Experience applying AI/ML to growth contexts: personalization, intelligent routing, LLM-powered content, or experimentation at scale
