Responsibilities

• ▹Own sourcing strategy for engineering and research roles across the stack
• ▹Build and maintain deep talent maps of top engineers in key hiring areas
• ▹Identify passive candidates through technical communities, papers, open-source contributions, and original research
• ▹Write outreach that engineers actually respond to — specific, credible, genuinely interesting
• ▹Partner with hiring managers and recruiters to understand real hiring needs
• ▹Track pipeline data to continuously sharpen sourcing precision
• ▹Help Cursor show up in the technical communities and conversations that matter

Requirements

• ▹3+ years of engineering sourcing or research-focused recruiting experience for technical roles, ideally at a fast-moving startup
• ▹Ability to read a GitHub profile, skim a research paper, or parse an engineering blog to identify exceptional talent
• ▹Strong intuition for where great engineers are online and how to reach them
• ▹Precise, organized, data-literate operator who can cut noise with signal
• ▹Default curiosity — asking why something matters, not just what it is
• ▹Comfortable operating with high autonomy in a fast-changing environment

Nice to have

• ▹Experience sourcing for AI, compiler, or systems roles
• ▹Experience building sourcing programs or pipelines from scratch
• ▹Personal network inside research or open-source communities
