Senior Technical Writer - Solutions Engineering *EU/UK remote* (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• ▹Own Pliant's developer documentation end-to-end: API reference, guides, recipes, quickstarts, conceptual content
• ▹Lead a full rework of the information architecture around the jobs developers are trying to get done
• ▹Drive the unification of Direct and Partner API documentation into one coherent surface
• ▹Validate documentation hands-on: read code and API specs, call endpoints, run integration flows
• ▹Establish and uphold documentation standards, voice and style guide, and review process
• ▹Partner with Product and Engineering on API governance and consistent naming/error handling
• ▹Shape and improve the developer portal and docs tooling
• ▹Use modern AI tooling as a leverage point while owning quality and editorial judgment
• ▹Define and track quality signals such as time-to-first-successful-API-call and support deflection

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of technical writing experience, with a track record of building or overhauling developer documentation for an API-first product
• ▹Direct experience in fintech, payments, or another regulated, infrastructure-heavy B2B domain is a strong plus
• ▹Strong information architecture skills, designed around how audiences actually use them
• ▹Comfortable in docs-as-code workflows, able to read code and API specs to verify behavior independently
• ▹Fluent working directly with engineers and product managers as a technical peer
• ▹Excellent editorial judgment: clarity, consistency, and brevity
• ▹Hands-on with modern AI tooling for writing and editing, with a clear point of view on its limits
• ▹Strong ownership mindset, confident defining what 'great' looks like
• ▹Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus
