Senior Backend Developer

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Designing and building microservices that model real logistics processes — order management, shipment tracking, integration with the legacy TMS
• ▹Working closely with domain experts who explain regional variations in processes
• ▹Contributing to architecture decisions and challenging existing approaches
• ▹Helping define how AI-assisted development tools are integrated into daily work, critically evaluating where they help and where they get in the way
• ▹Promoting code quality through reviews, pair programming and sensible standards
• ▹Supporting frontend development as needed

Requirements

• ▹Several years of backend experience with Java and/or Kotlin
• ▹Solid frontend experience with TypeScript
• ▹Deep understanding of designing and implementing microservice architectures
• ▹Experience with Spring Boot, and a sense of when a framework helps and when it gets in the way
• ▹Solid knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes
• ▹Genuine curiosity about the logistics domain
• ▹Openness to how the developer role will change in the coming years
• ▹Fluent/negotiation-level German skills
