Software Developer – Identity & Access Management (IAM) Platform

Hellmann, a global logistics company, is looking for a software developer for its IAM team, which is responsible for managing identities of internal staff, external contractors, partners and machines. The role covers developing and integrating the IAM platform's architecture, authentication and authorization solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Consolidating heterogeneous identity providers (Active Directory, Entra ID, Auth0) into a unified architecture while clearly segmenting identity stores
  • Implementing standardized authentication flows (OIDC, SAML, OAuth 2.0) for B2E, B2B and B2C scenarios
  • Designing and implementing authorization models (RBAC, ABAC, ReBAC) for fine-grained access control
  • Centrally managing roles, permissions and policies across application boundaries
  • Defining and rolling out unified provisioning/deprovisioning processes across all identity silos, and establishing consistent password policies and MFA enforcement
  • Providing secure libraries and integration patterns for development teams, and offering technical consulting for connecting new services to the IAM platform
  • Implementing Zero Trust principles such as conditional access, just-in-time access and continuous authorization

Requirements

  • Degree or vocational training in IT, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience developing and integrating IAM solutions in heterogeneous, global environments
  • Deep understanding of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT and claims-based authorization, as well as RBAC and ABAC models
  • Solid programming skills in at least one language (Java, C#/.NET, Python, Node.js/TypeScript)
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep, Pulumi) and secrets management (Key Vault, HashiCorp Vault)
  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly, strong collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Independent, responsible work style, high fault tolerance and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent German and business-level English
