HPC System and Storage Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Deploy, integrate, validate and test large-scale HPC and AI infrastructures (several thousand nodes) at customer sites worldwide.
• ▹Install, configure and troubleshoot Linux systems and server hardware architectures.
• ▹Provide technical support during project execution and take an active part in commissioning and acceptance phases.
• ▹Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (engineering, network, storage, applications and software).
• ▹Produce and maintain technical documentation and report regularly on progress.

Requirements

• ▹Higher education degree (Bac+5) in computer science, systems or a similar technical field.
• ▹Solid operational experience of 8 years in administering complex systems and integrating large-scale infrastructures.
• ▹Advanced command of large-scale datacenter environments (HPC or Cloud) and server hardware architectures.
• ▹Strong Linux administration skills (Red Hat Enterprise Linux / Debian).
• ▹Knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, its key components and containerization concepts.
• ▹Hands-on experience with Ansible and Grafana (configuration, monitoring and log management tools).
• ▹Mastery of block storage (RAID, HDD, SSD, NVMe), distributed and parallel file systems (NFS, Lustre, IBM Storage Scale / GPFS), object/tape storage technologies (HPSS) and NetApp and DDN enterprise solutions.
• ▹Solid knowledge of Ethernet networks, TCP/IP and low-latency interconnects.
• ▹Bilingual or full professional proficiency in English, essential for a multicultural environment.
• ▹Availability for regular international travel, and eligibility for security clearance in the country of residence (France, Germany or the United Kingdom).

Nice to have

• ▹Familiarity with the physical components of datacenters (power, cooling, racks, cabling).
