(Senior) Data Analyst

Data Analyst • Senior • Hybrid • Full-time • Poland Kraków, Poland

You will work with InPost's marketing, data and tech teams on consumer and marketing analytics in Databricks using PySpark and SQL, and develop reporting in the AI e-commerce area.

Responsibilities

  • ▹Advanced reporting and in-depth data analysis at the intersection of consumer, e-commerce and app analytics (all in PySpark/SQL on Databricks), and presenting findings and solutions
  • ▹Analysing data from multiple sources (frontend and backend) to detect trends and patterns
  • ▹Translating business requirements into analytical needs and defining data models
  • ▹Independently identifying areas for analysis and proposing the scope and method of the study (sometimes before the business has voiced the need)
  • ▹Regularly preparing advanced reports and visualisations for the marketing team to monitor campaign effectiveness
  • ▹Iterative data analysis covering understanding, transforming and aggregating data to define KPIs per project
  • ▹Determining data availability in the data lakehouse, identifying and defining the required data structures together with the Data team, debugging errors and reporting them for fixing
  • ▹Data visualisation with Power BI or collaborating on building dashboards

Requirements

  • ▹At least 5 years of experience in data analysis and business intelligence or related areas
  • ▹At least 3 years of experience in strategic analyses that influence business decisions
  • ▹Experience in consumer, marketing or mobile app data analysis
  • ▹Practical, advanced knowledge of PySpark, SQL or Python (at least 4 years)
  • ▹High operational efficiency in a dynamic environment
  • ▹Ability to navigate a complex BI stack and quickly find the right data sources and reports
  • ▹Higher education in a field such as quantitative and qualitative methods, mathematics, big data, computer science, data science, statistics or similar
  • ▹At least 2 years of experience presenting analysis results and recommendations in a way that is clear to business stakeholders at director level
  • ▹Knowledge of the Databricks platform and big data technologies
  • ▹At least basic knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
  • ▹Ability to structure complex problems and draw data-driven conclusions
  • ▹Proactivity in identifying problems and finding solutions
  • ▹Very good work organisation and independence
  • ▹English at B2 level or above

Nice to have

  • ▹Experience in consumer segmentation and data science projects
  • ▹Experience in building data objects and data engineering
  • ▹Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) for building dashboards
  • ▹Experience in e-commerce analytics
