Senior Software Engineer, Chainlink Runtime

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, build and operate highly scalable platform services that improve the reliability and performance of the CRE platform
• ▹Lead the development of production-grade backend services and APIs for multiple internal stakeholders and platform consumers
• ▹Drive architectural improvements that enable vertical and horizontal scaling
• ▹Improve workflow execution durability and platform resilience through thoughtful engineering and rigorous testing
• ▹Partner with engineering teams to deliver cross-functional platform initiatives from design through production deployment
• ▹Improve documentation and shared knowledge across the engineering organization
• ▹Improve platform reliability through engineering practices aligned with service reliability objectives

Requirements

• ▹Experience designing, building and operating large-scale production platforms
• ▹Advanced proficiency developing production systems in Go (Golang)
• ▹Experience building production APIs and backend applications serving multiple stakeholders
• ▹Strong experience designing and operating distributed systems
• ▹Systems thinking and the ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs
• ▹Self-driven, with a high degree of ownership and technical curiosity
• ▹Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Nice to have

• ▹Experience defining, measuring and improving service reliability through SLOs and SLIs
• ▹Experience with TypeScript, Solidity or additional backend technologies
• ▹Interest in blockchain infrastructure and Web3
• ▹Experience building decentralized applications (dApps)
• ▹Experience with financial infrastructure, banking systems or other mission-critical distributed platforms
