Responsibilities

• ▹Lead by doing: contribute to core systems while modeling high standards in code quality, testing and design
• ▹Guide architectural evolution with cross-team initiatives toward simplicity, scalability and testability
• ▹Coach and mentor engineers at all levels through pairing, design reviews and XP practices
• ▹Design elegant solutions to deep technical challenges in performance, reliability and distributed rendering
• ▹Spot risks early, resolve systemic bottlenecks and establish good defaults
• ▹Promote practices like TDD, pair programming and continuous delivery
• ▹Partner with product and leadership to balance short-term delivery with long-term technical health
• ▹Improve CI/CD pipelines and internal tooling to make development smoother and safer

Requirements

• ▹10+ years designing and shipping complex, distributed systems
• ▹A track record of leading large-scale technical initiatives that simplified and strengthened core systems
• ▹Expertise in modern backend development, ideally TypeScript/Node.js or Golang, plus familiarity with AWS and cloud-native infrastructure
• ▹Systems thinking: seeing across layers of the stack and connecting product goals with technical architecture
• ▹Coaching mindset: elevating others through context, guidance and example
• ▹Strategic clarity in balancing short-term priorities with long-term sustainability
• ▹Strong communication with technical and non-technical audiences
• ▹A bias for improving systems, teams and practices

Nice to have

• ▹Experience in SEO, web performance or large-scale rendering infrastructure
