Responsibilities

• ▹Execute project work at the client, working on complex architecture and security questions
• ▹Translate the chosen strategy into concrete solution building blocks on both the configuration and implementation side
• ▹Turn the design into a working realization and prepare the accompanying rollout instructions
• ▹Act as third-line support and the first point of contact for knowledge questions
• ▹Devise and thoroughly design tactical solutions for the client, such as integrations, migrations, security and sizing of required performance
• ▹Help other teams with automation, sharing knowledge and training others
• ▹Put documentation and concepts into words, for example input for a test strategy
• ▹Automate manual tasks
• ▹Technical setup and management of (cloud) environments
• ▹Carry out upgrades (new component versions) and updates (patches)
• ▹Logging, monitoring and optimization of the environments
• ▹Set up and use CI/CD, release management, capacity management, and set up management processes

Requirements

• ▹At least 8 years of experience in technical management of private cloud environments
• ▹Automation with Red Hat Ansible (certified or demonstrated work experience)
• ▹Automated provisioning of IaaS and PaaS services
• ▹Databases in an enterprise environment
• ▹Secure by Design
• ▹At least Red Hat RHCSA certification (or demonstrated work experience)
• ▹Familiarity with hosting (IaaS and PaaS), high availability, high performance, scalability and security best practices
• ▹Knowledge of Linux (RHEL 8 and/or 9)
• ▹Scripting, mainly Ansible, Infrastructure/Configuration as Code; Python or PowerShell
• ▹Security techniques, encryption; zoning and segmentation concepts for applications and data
• ▹Version control of source code and configuration files: GitLab and Git client
• ▹Dashboarding and virtualization; supporting tooling for monitoring, logging, antivirus and so on
• ▹Compute, network and storage design concepts
• ▹Container technologies (Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools
• ▹Experience with Linux and Red Hat, and with hyperconverged infrastructure (for example Nutanix)
• ▹Dutch nationality and a Dutch passport, required to work for the Ministry of Defence
