Responsibilities

• ▹Technical leadership: lead the technical evolution of APIs and payment integrations, setting architectural direction and standards
• ▹Team leadership: hire, mentor, coach, and develop engineers, fostering a high-performing culture
• ▹Architecture and development: own system and integration architecture, contribute hands-on to development and code reviews
• ▹Engineering excellence: drive best practices in API design, testing, performance, security, and maintainability
• ▹Cross-functional collaboration: partner with Product, Backend, and Payments teams
• ▹Scalability and reliability: ensure solutions support enterprise merchants and global payment volumes
• ▹Technical mentorship: provide engineers with architectural guidance

Requirements

• ▹Proven experience managing and growing engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
• ▹Strong ability to drive technical decisions and manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment
• ▹Experience in payments companies, payments-related teams, or PSP integrations
• ▹Deep experience with payments infrastructure: network tokens, routing, transaction optimization
• ▹Solid hands-on backend engineering experience in Java, Golang, Kotlin, or similar
• ▹Strong understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture
