Responsibilities

• ▹Define reliability strategy and standards: SLO culture, error-budget policy, incident practices
• ▹Drive platform architecture and technology decisions as the platform matures
• ▹Design and own the messaging and event-driven architecture, replacing synchronous patterns with durable async messaging
• ▹Own cloud infrastructure, automate provisioning with IaC
• ▹Build monitoring, tracing, and alerting that keeps the platform healthy
• ▹Lead incidents and mentor engineers: senior escalation point for the hardest production problems, run blameless postmortems
• ▹Apply a chaos engineering mindset: continuous fault injection and resilience experiments to surface weaknesses
