Responsibilities

• ▹Proofread and edit content already localized to the native language, catching grammar, typos, syntax and punctuation issues
• ▹Sometimes translate content from English to the native language
• ▹Check UIs for functional issues
• ▹Write and report relevant bugs and errors via internal database system
• ▹QA products by following testing instructions and test cases
• ▹Discover and report defects using client-specific bug tracking tools
• ▹Evaluate translations in the context of software, mobile apps and documentation
• ▹Act as subject matter expert for linguistic issues in the target language
• ▹Adhere to project-specific quality standards, style guides and glossaries

Requirements

• ▹Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• ▹Native-level or fully bilingual fluency, spoken and written, in the target language
• ▹Up-to-date awareness of current technical language usage in the target language
• ▹Strong English skills, written and verbal
• ▹Experience with MS Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• ▹Basic knowledge of PC hardware, desktop and laptop
• ▹Basic knowledge of smartphones: iPhone or Android
• ▹Highly organized with attention to detail

Nice to have

• ▹Localization, QA or translation experience
• ▹Advanced computer skills
