DevSecOps Engineer

Ardent is looking for a remote DevSecOps Engineer (Consultant) to design, deploy, operate and maintain secure cloud products and services for federal government clients. The role focuses on automating security vulnerability mitigation and supporting cross-functional cloud and DevOps teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design system architectures spanning software, hardware and communications infrastructure
  • Ensure system architectures comply with open systems standards such as OSI and ISO reference models
  • Develop and maintain information management solutions across application platforms and APIs
  • Analyze workflow, organizational and planning challenges and propose corrective actions
  • Coordinate with cloud and DevOps engineers to help teams realize value from product offerings
  • Mitigate security vulnerabilities through automated processes and OS patching
  • Provide daily supervision, guidance and direction to assigned staff

Requirements

  • 5+ years of IT experience with DevOps and software development background
  • Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, source control and deployment automation
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible and Terraform
  • Experience with cloud, on-premises or hybrid environments including AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
  • Experience with APIs, web services, systems architecture and networking
  • Scripting and automation experience with Python, Shell, CloudFormation or Groovy
