Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Medical Imaging)

Responsibilities

• ▹Design and implement scalable computer vision pipelines using PyTorch or TensorFlow for large-scale medical imaging datasets (DICOM, NIfTI)
• ▹Architect end-to-end MLOps workflows using MLflow for experiment tracking, model versioning and production model serving
• ▹Develop efficient data loaders and preprocessing steps for high-dimensional medical data using Apache Spark
• ▹Enforce data lineage and security protocols via Unity Catalog to meet healthcare regulatory standards (HIPAA, GDPR, HITRUST)
• ▹Advise clients on build-vs-buy decisions for medical AI tools and share best practices on model interpretability and bias mitigation
• ▹Implement CI/CD for ML with Git integration and Databricks Asset Bundles, and promote the use of feature stores

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of experience in Machine Learning or Data Science, including at least 3 years within the Databricks ecosystem
• ▹Proven experience with medical imaging formats such as DICOM, NIfTI and WSI
• ▹Familiarity with specialized libraries such as MONAI, SimpleITK or OpenCV
• ▹Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, including PySpark for large-scale data manipulation
• ▹Production experience with Azure Machine Learning or AWS SageMaker, with GPU instance management and cost optimization
• ▹Expertise in MLflow for the full ML lifecycle and experience with Delta Lake for unstructured imaging metadata
