Senior System Engineer (Cloud Native, 80-100%, Remote-First)

Responsibilities

• ▹Act as technical lead on complex projects, ensuring quality standards are met
• ▹Lead technical discussions with demanding stakeholders and turn ambiguity into next steps
• ▹Anticipate organizational and delivery risks and address them early
• ▹Manage complex, critical systems, apply updates and resolve incidents
• ▹Plan and implement sophisticated multi-cloud or on-premises platforms
• ▹Support junior and professional team members in critical situations

Requirements

• ▹Proficiency in written and spoken German
• ▹5-8 years of experience as a system engineer in cloud environments
• ▹Strong DevOps background: CNCF and HashiCorp stacks, GitLab, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm, DevSecOps, IaC, GitOps
• ▹Broad experience in software development, cloud migration and platform engineering
• ▹Strong networking skills
• ▹Ability to identify security vulnerabilities early
• ▹Expertise in building and improving automations
• ▹Ability to align technology, architecture and business requirements in complex customer environments

Nice to have

• ▹GitLab, IBM (HashiCorp), Red Hat and/or SUSE certifications
• ▹Experience with SUSE products
• ▹AWS, Azure and/or GCP certifications
