Responsibilities

• ▹Manage, optimize and maintain PostgreSQL databases in a public-sector system
• ▹Perform performance tuning in PostgreSQL environments
• ▹Implement backup automation
• ▹Plan cluster development

Requirements

• ▹At least 2 years of experience as a Database Administrator
• ▹At least 1 year of commercial experience administering PostgreSQL, including clustered environments
• ▹Experience installing, configuring and upgrading PostgreSQL databases
• ▹Experience administering and tuning PostgreSQL database performance
• ▹Ability to perform and manage backups and database restores
• ▹Ability to monitor database performance and availability
• ▹Experience creating and optimizing indexes and tuning SQL query performance

Nice to have

• ▹Knowledge of database orchestration in Kubernetes (e.g. CloudNativePG operator)
• ▹Basic knowledge of NoSQL databases
• ▹PostgreSQL administration certifications
