Lead Software Engineer

As a Lead Software Engineer, you'll spearhead the technical direction and delivery of complex, innovative AI projects, acting as a technical expert from AI strategy through to client-side deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical authority for enterprise clients, guiding projects from discovery to production deployment
  • Lead and mentor a squad of engineers, empowering them to deliver their best work
  • Implement scalable and future-proof front- and backend engineering patterns and practices
  • Translate complex customer needs and implementation challenges into actionable feedback that shapes the next phase of a project
  • Distil complex technical concepts for diverse audiences, from client-side engineers to senior business stakeholders

Requirements

  • Proven ability to distil complex technical concepts for a wide range of audiences
  • Strong, hands-on experience in full-stack development, with a deep understanding of system architecture and design
  • Expert-level Python and TypeScript/React skills
  • Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab), Docker, and deploying applications on Kubernetes
  • A demonstrated history of championing automated testing strategies for robust, reliable code
  • A genuine passion for working with customers, understanding their problems, and delivering solutions that provide immediate value
