Senior II Software Engineer (API for Cloud Networking)

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Build cloud platform functionality that sets up, manages and protects networking in the Akamai Cloud
• ▹Design and implement clean, robust and performant REST APIs
• ▹Develop and maintain internal libraries and microservices
• ▹Design, implement, review, document and test high quality Python code
• ▹Review and contribute to architectural and design documents authored by other teams

Requirements

• ▹Experience with mainstream programming languages such as Python, Java, C# or Go
• ▹Solid skills writing, testing and understanding complex software
• ▹Experience designing and implementing REST APIs
• ▹Experience in technical design, product specification reviews, project and backlog planning
• ▹Good communication skills with leadership and non-developer stakeholders
• ▹Experience mentoring other developers

Nice to have

• ▹Experience developing microservices
• ▹Familiarity with Docker, pytest, MySQL, SQLAlchemy, Flask, Prometheus, Grafana
