Responsibilities

• ▹Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team
• ▹Lead engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems
• ▹Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics
• ▹Set up monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, and alerting for on-call operations
• ▹Set or improve code review and design standards
• ▹Develop team talent through feedback and mentorship

Requirements

• ▹4+ years designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin
• ▹Track record building highly available distributed systems with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
• ▹Experience defining a technical plan for a significant feature or system component
• ▹Writes high-quality code that is easily understood by others
• ▹Experience making significant, safe changes in a large codebase
• ▹Strong verbal and written communication skills with a global engineering team
