Cloud Application Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Manage the onboarding of applications into DAST platforms, ensuring comprehensive security scanning and early identification of vulnerabilities throughout the SDLC
• ▹Support and administer SAST and SCA tools, including solutions such as SonarQube and Dependency-Track
• ▹Develop, optimize and maintain AI agents, prompts and automation scripts to reduce manual effort in security operations such as alert enrichment, threat triage and report generation
• ▹Create and maintain dashboards, reports and metrics giving leadership visibility into AI adoption, system performance, security outcomes and emerging cyber risk trends
• ▹Maintain documentation covering AI integrations, prompt engineering standards, operational procedures and security playbooks
• ▹Monitor and assess emerging AI security risks, including prompt injection, model manipulation and data leakage
• ▹Support the AI Security Architect in evaluating, piloting, testing and deploying new AI capabilities and platform enhancements
• ▹Analyze, prioritize and manage vulnerabilities across applications and cloud environments, partnering with stakeholders on timely remediation
• ▹Review new software requests from a security perspective against organizational security standards and policies
• ▹Conduct routine and targeted cloud security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities, verify controls and ensure regulatory compliance
• ▹Develop, maintain and communicate cloud security policies, standards, procedures and governance requirements
• ▹Serve as a technical escalation point for security tooling issues and collaborate with the Unisys Security Operations Center (SOC) team and other security stakeholders
• ▹Work cross-functionally with engineering, architecture, operations and security teams to strengthen the overall application and cloud security posture

Requirements

• ▹Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or similar, or equivalent hands-on experience combined with training and certifications
• ▹3-5+ years of application security experience
• ▹Solid scripting/programming ability (Python, PowerShell or similar) for building automation and integrations
• ▹Experience with API integrations and SOAR playbook development
• ▹Engineering experience with cloud identity management systems, preferably AWS IAM or Azure AD
• ▹Working understanding of AI/ML concepts and their practical application to security use cases, including LLMs, agents and prompt engineering
• ▹Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure or GCP) and with cloud security tooling
• ▹Proven experience handling cloud security incidents
• ▹Experience conducting cloud security audits and compliance assessments and creating recommendations for improving security posture
• ▹Experience handling event streams in cloud platforms or workloads and building automation that ingests or processes these events
• ▹Ability to communicate security risks and remediation strategies effectively to developers, project teams, and technical and business owners
• ▹Strong organizational skills and time management capabilities
