Principal Energy Process & Strategy

Responsibilities

• ▹Define scalable product logic for energy products (tariffs, flexibility services) so they handle mass volume smoothly from the start
• ▹Act as translator between law and product/tech, converting complex regulatory frameworks (e.g., §14a EnWG, Stromsteuer, dynamic grid fees) into clear logical requirements
• ▹Architect automated workflows for core international utility processes (e.g., market communication/MaKo, billing validation)
• ▹Integrate innovation with tradition by defining technical and procedural standards for interaction with traditional players (DSOs, TSOs)
• ▹Enable product feasibility by partnering with Product Managers during discovery, identifying regulatory or process complexity upfront and designing scalable workarounds

Requirements

• ▹7+ years at the intersection of Energy Economy and Product/Process Design (e.g., at a digital utility, energy software provider, or specialized consultancy)
• ▹Proven track record of designing scalable energy processes successfully implemented in software
• ▹Deep understanding of energy market design, also internationally, with a German focus
• ▹Ability to fully grasp regulatory policies (EnWG, MsbG) and translate them into logical product requirements, comparing initiatives across countries
