Mandatory Internship: Full-Stack Development for Release Automation of Automotive Embedded Middleware Software

Mandatory internship at ETAS GmbH, contributing to a full-stack web application that automates and improves traceability of software release processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and development of a full-stack web application that will streamline release workflows and improve traceability
  • Work with both front-end and back-end technologies to implement features such as release planning, version tracking, automated deployment triggers and status dashboards
  • Collaborate with team members to integrate the application with existing CI/CD pipelines and version control systems
  • Reduce manual effort, minimize errors and improve visibility of release activities
  • Work closely with product owners, DevOps engineers and software developers to understand internal stakeholder needs and translate these into intuitive, reliable and scalable web solutions
  • Keep an eye on current trends and best practices in full-stack development, DevOps, and software lifecycle management

Requirements

  • Studies in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Networking, Business Informatics or comparable, with a focus on embedded software
  • Experience in web development using Python and Node.js
  • Familiarity with Jenkins, Bitbucket, as well as Jira
  • Understanding of software release processes and CI/CD workflows
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and frontend frameworks
  • Ability to grasp complex issues quickly and manage time effectively; strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • On-site presence required 2-3 days per week, partially mobile working possible
  • Very good English and good German

  • Experience in DevOps or automotive software development
