Responsibilities

• ▹Build the core team behind the platform's backbone: an event-driven, domain-driven backend with a Next.js frontend
• ▹Cover quoting, booking, routing, tracking, invoicing, CO2 reporting and embedded financial services
• ▹Write tests and own architecture decisions, with AI handling code generation and the engineer as human-in-the-loop reviewer

Requirements

• ▹Practical application of Domain-Driven Design: bounded contexts, aggregates, aggregate roots, value objects, domain events, ubiquitous language
• ▹Hexagonal architecture (ports & adapters)
• ▹CQRS (command/query responsibility segregation)
• ▹Saga pattern for distributed transaction coordination
• ▹Outbox pattern for reliable event delivery
• ▹Event sourcing and eventual consistency at scale
• ▹Designing for high throughput with strong and eventual consistency
• ▹Backend: Java, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Redis, Blob storage/S3, Parquet and Delta files
• ▹Serialization: Protobuf, Avro, JSON; gRPC and REST; CDC via Debezium
• ▹Frontend: Next.js (backend-for-frontend pattern), JavaScript, TypeScript, MUI, Figma design handoff
• ▹REST, JSON, Protobuf and gRPC integration from the frontend; PostgreSQL read-side familiarity
• ▹Full-stack range across the entire stack, not a pure backend or pure frontend specialist
