Responsibilities

• ▹Be part of rapid development cycles to deliver high-quality products
• ▹Hands-on development of infrastructure and maintenance
• ▹Be responsible for all databases in the organization (development, staging, production)
• ▹Cover security, failover/replication, optimization
• ▹Cover table structure, indexing, query/stored procedure design
• ▹Incorporate products, work procedures, best practices and architecture
• ▹Thoroughly review specification documents to find special cases and scenarios
• ▹Cooperate with dev, QA and devops teams
• ▹Become the house expert on databases, train developers and QA

Requirements

• ▹5 years of DBA experience, at least 3 as a MySQL DBA
• ▹Hands-on experience with DBA failover, security, optimization, backup
• ▹Hands-on experience with DB design, testing and maintenance
• ▹Self-managed, able to work as a single DBA in the organization
• ▹Scripting language experience (Python, Bash)
• ▹Issue resolution and root cause analysis abilities
• ▹Mandatory good English (written and spoken)

Nice to have

• ▹C++ development experience, specifically calling MySQL from it
• ▹Financial background: FIX protocol, FX trading
• ▹Experience with Jira, SVN, Jenkins
