Responsibilities

• ▹Develop technical standards, including hands-on coding, tools and platforms
• ▹Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers
• ▹Define all aspects of development from technology choices to coding standards
• ▹Ensure software meets quality, security, maintainability and scalability requirements
• ▹Drive continuous innovation by investigating alternatives and new technologies
• ▹Adhere to schedules and deadlines

Requirements

• ▹MSc or BSc degree in computer science, software engineering or related technical field, or equivalent work experience
• ▹At least 10 years of proven experience in software development using Java
• ▹Experience with web services, RESTful services, JSON and XML
• ▹Experience with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and/or NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB, in-memory grids)
• ▹Excellent command of the English language

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with application servers (Wildfly, Thorntail, etc.), containers (e.g. Docker), middleware (e.g. message queuing) or Spring Boot
