Senior Amazon Connect Developer

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Design and develop scalable RESTful APIs
• ▹Design and optimize DynamoDB schemas, indexes, and data access patterns
• ▹Develop and maintain Python-based AWS Lambda functions
• ▹Modify, enhance, and maintain Amazon Connect contact flows and routing logic
• ▹Collaborate with UI development teams to translate business requirements into backend services
• ▹Work directly with Amazon Professional Services on implementation and enhancement
• ▹Design event-driven architectures using Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, API Gateway
• ▹Support and optimize data flows across AWS services
• ▹Implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud-native solutions
• ▹Troubleshoot application, integration, and infrastructure issues across AWS environments
• ▹Participate in production support activities and occasional after-hours deployments

Requirements

• ▹8+ years of hands-on experience with AWS
• ▹4+ years of experience with Amazon Connect, including contact flows, routing, queues, and integrations
• ▹Strong proficiency in Python, including AWS Lambda development
• ▹Experience with AWS services: Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch
• ▹Extensive experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and backend integrations
• ▹Strong knowledge of DynamoDB schema design, indexing, and performance optimization
• ▹Experience designing and supporting cloud-native and event-driven architectures
• ▹Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• ▹Strong communication skills across engineering and business teams
• ▹Experience working in Agile development environments

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• ▹Experience converting AWS CDK or CloudFormation templates into Terraform
• ▹Experience with IBM ODM
